We offer love, learning and laughter to our children and peace of mind to our parents. NYC's Childcare Program consists of two components, Early Childhood Education for ages 0 to 5 years, and School-Age childcare for ages 6 to 14. Our programs are licensed by the California Department of Education and our staff ratios are lower than the state's requirements, to ensure the best quality care.

Children move through the programs as they grow, and great care and attention is given to providing gradual transitions when it's time to move into the next level. Each room is equipped, designed and staffed for the specific age group of participants.

We believe a partnership between staff and parents provide children with the greatest opportunity for growth and development. NYC establishes an environment in which teachers and caregivers help children learn to become balanced individuals, with effective personal and social skills for life.

By offering a 14 year span of care, parents and children enjoy predictability and the opportunity to bond among themselves and with staff.

What Makes our Programs Unique:

• Our 23,000 sq. ft. facility, complete with full size indoor gym, craft shop, library with computers, a fully equipped games-room, four separate playgrounds, a garden, and age appropriate rooms for each group of children.
   
• Our fees are all-inclusive. This means children are fed breakfast, lunch and snack daily, at no additional cost. Our school age children are transported to and from school daily during the school year, and go on weekly field trips during the summer, also at no additional cost. Schools we transport to and from include: Lu Sutton, Olive, Rancho, Pleasant Valley, Lynwood and San Ramon Elementary Schools; and Hill, San Jose and Sinaloa Middle Schools.
   
• Additional programs on site that our childcare families can register for include family counseling, tutoring services, parenting workshops and a parent vision team.

Early Childhood Education (ECE) encompasses five age-related programs from infancy (6 weeks) through Kindergarten. The five programs include Babycare, Pre-Toddler, Toddler, Pre-School/Pre-K, and Kindergarten.

Care at The Novato Youth Center is comprised of six age-defined programs:

		Babycare 6 weeks to 18 months			Pre-School/Pre-K 3 years to 5 years

		Toddler 2 years to 3 years			School-Age Childcare For ages 6 years to 14 years
