Our Pre-Toddler program is designed to meet the developmental needs of children in this age group, with assigned primary caregivers. The program provides activities that enhance each child's cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical and creative development. We offer a safe, nurturing environment in which your child is encouraged to explore his/her world. The Pre-Toddler years are a time for exploration in the security of their surroundings.

Each day is filled with opportunities to create, explore, and learn problem solving and personal interaction skills, while developing a positive self-concept through self- and teacher-directed activities. Our caring staff bring consistency and calmness to your child's day through new experiences, while helping him/her put their thoughts and feelings into words with ongoing language exchanges.

A Typical Day in the life of a Pre-Toddler at the NYC:

Pre-Toddler Schedule*

 Pre-Toddlers use their developing skills to feed themselves from our varied and nutritious menus, which include many fresh fruits and vegetables. Dining among peers tends to encourage little ones to try nutritious new foods. Careful attention to food allergies is a top priority, and we welcome (but do not provide) alternative foods as needed.

** Every Wednesday, we have music class at 10:00 a.m. with our music teacher.
